Asbestos Removal and Airborne Fibre Monitoring
Once an asbestos survey has identified asbestos containing
materials in a building, it may be necessary to remove them
or in some cases encapsulate (repair) them.
Asbestos removal contractors are licensed by the HSE (Health
and Safety Executive) through regular audits therefore the
client can be assured of a quality service. MIS are holders
of an asbestos removal licence, and although we are licensed
to remove asbestos materials, we choose to use our asbestos
removal license in the capacity of Project Management for
the end client.
 |
The
benefits of doing this to the client are tremendous:
- Preparation of method statements
for submission to the Health and Safety Executive
- Notify the works to the Health and
Safety Executive
- Prepare tender documentation for
the client to selected asbestos removal contractors
so that the client is assured of "best value".
- Oversee the whole contract from start
to finish and deal with any potential issues which
may arise on site.
- Liaise directly with the asbestos
removal contractor and then with the client to ensure
that the client is always kept up to date with the
progress of the contract.
- The
majority of asbestos removal projects often requires
an air test certificate, to ensure that the area is
safe for re-occupation, air testing is normally required
before, during and after the removal works, MIS Limited
carry out this service direct for the client to ensure
safety before handing back the building to the client.
