Process Emissions

At MIS Environmental Ltd we are able to provide a wide range of emission monitoring services. Emission monitoring is provided principally for assessment of compliance with authorisation permits, but our monitoring services can be tailored to address individual client needs including:

  • Evaluation of releases of non-regulated pollutants
  • Assessment in process efficiency
  • Assistance in process control
  • Efficiency assessment of abatement systems
  • Compilation of emissions inventory data
  • Assistance in specifying plant construction materials
  • Reassurance monitoring in response to complaints
  • Site boundary monitoring programs covering noise, dust and VOC's.

Our MCERTS accredited Stack Testing Team can offer cost effective sampling regimes for a broad range of pollutants including (but not restricted to):

  • Particulates
  • Hydrogen Chloride
  • Volatile Organic Compound (total or speciated)
  • Carbon Monoxide
  • Sulphur Dioxide
  • Oxides of Nitrogen
  • Formaldehyde
  • Benzene
  • Ammonia
  • Heavy Metals

Sampling is carried out using standard methodologies in accordance with the Environment Agency's Technical Guidance Note M2. Any subsequent analytical stages are undertaken at UKAS accredited Laboratories.

As a member of the Source Testing Association we carry out site work in accordance with their code of conduct. An MCERTS qualified Level 2 Team Leader, holding the appropriate Technical Endorsements, is onsite for all monitoring campaigns.
